ok but im turning 27 in may, what challenges can i expect and is it to late to
learn how to break...?
It depends on whether you have kept up with your physical condition, but
27 is not to old, don't be influenced by numbers it is how you feel that counts obviopuslt start with simpler moves and work your way up but you should be fine... Jackie Chang is 47..you don't see him slowing down...keep that in mind instead of an age.

Hey whats up breaker! not much with me. I have a question for u and i hope u
can help me out. Im trying to learn how to do a 1990 and i got the handstand down but when i try to spin i fall. Im trying to learn from your Vol. 2 video it helps alot but i still cant get. Can u help me out please. From,
Pedro Gonzalez Jr.

the 1990 is all in the twist of the legs as shown in volume 2 the most important
part is making sure your legs go straight up if it isn't then you will fall quickly due to the fact your body is not vertical your not getting your trailing leg straight up which causes your body to fall to the side that your leg is dropping.
. if your not turning remember to lift fingers as shown in step 2 so you spin on your
palm . Let me know how it goes.

I love the way you showed the steps in such detail on the video. I've
only been breaking for about a month now and I've got the six step
pretty smooth. I need to ask you a question. How do you become a B-boy
and get a name? I've looke all over and I can't figure it out. PLEASE
contact me.
Andy
( Hope to be B-boy Kix)

Thanks for writing, being a B-boy is all about the feeling you have and the
expression of breaking , it sounds like your already on your way, don't be intimidated by people saying you have to act this way or that to be a b-boy just be yourself, as being a b-boy is about being true to yourself and self expression not restrictions and categories. As far as a name, a name is given to you usually by others who see you because of your actions or something you do in your character, many people chose their names from the way they feel about their style or way of expression in breaking..My name Breaker was given to me about 8 years ago by my capoeira teacher because in my form i would always through in a variation of breaking

Hey Breaker, thanks for writing back. I've been working in my windmilles
lately and I believe I've come a long way. one other thing
I wanted to know is did your parents support you through your break dancing dream?
You see my mom dislikes the idea of me break dancing because she believes I
am going to hurt myself.
Thank you for writing back to me. I look forward to your e-mails because I
don't get a lot of them, but I am excited that someone as famouse as you
e-mailed me. Thank you for your time

Thanks for writing sorry for the delay, the tour season has started, parents
supporting your breaking is a really good subject...well, I'd explained it like playing sports it has to be practiced and even playing baseball or football you can get hurt, matter of fact I broke my leg playing football on my school team, broke my wrist again playing football high school, had bad ankles from soccer, almost drowned on the swim team, breaking was alot safer for me, Try to explain to her your interest and it is a positive way for a lot of things including physical fitness, focus and your own self esteem, there is nothing like finally doing a move that you have been working so hard to learn, it takes a lot of discipline and it gets you involved in learning and challenging yourself to get better, which is positive life experience in itself. . Keep believing in your dream.

Thanks for writing Danny sorry for the delay been on tour and it's been crazy,
let's see vinyl linoleum is probably your best bet you can get it at any home depot or flooring company just buy some spray furniture polish like Pledge and put a lite coat on it and wipe it down before using this will help eliminate the stickiness of the new floor.
Thanks

Thanks for writing Caroline, alot of people have the wrong idea when it comes to
breaking about strength, breaking is more technique then just strength, remember Micha'el Barichnokov( i'm trying to keep it in a ballet reference) he was not overly built but seemed to fly and do things that seemed impossible but it was not the strength but his technique that was the key the same apllies for breaking if you have good technique your body will follow naturally with muscles that develop thru practice. The key is just to start as with anything practice practice and practice it will come to you and so will the strenghth from repetition.
Thanks

Sup ??well just wondering about break dancing i am an advanced level ballet
dancer and would love to be able 2 breakdance since i have the ballet training i thought that there could be some moves that would suit my build and strength , but i wasn't sure which move's they would be. So could you name a few moves that would come easy to me since i am quite flexible Also i haven't got such a strong upper body compared to my legs so could u suggest some move's that don't involve upper body strength as much And could you suggest a few exercise's that could strengthen my upper body without getting bulky thanx heaps , n hope 2 hear from u real soon
l8er babe :)
